As a passionate admirer, I’m eagerly anticipating the action-packed film “Exterritorial,” written and directed by Christian Zübert. In this thrilling adventure, I’ll be cheering on Jeanne Goursaud (from “Barbarians”) as the lead character and new action hero Sara. Joining her is Dougray Scott (of “Mission: Impossible II” fame), making his German-speaking debut as chief of security Erik Kynch.

The rest of the talented cast includes Lera Abova (“Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin”), Kayode Akinyemi (“Vikings: Valhalla”), Annabelle Mandeng (“Unknown”), Samuel Tehrani (“Runny Dry”), Jeremy Schuetze (“Jennifer’s Body”), Kris Saddler (“Adult Material”), and Nina Liu (“Little Fish”).

To build the excitement, I’ve also had a sneak peek at the trailer, and trust me, it promises an action-packed evening for those streaming on a Friday night. The official synopsis reveals that “Exterritorial” is poised to deliver the ultimate action movie experience you won’t want to miss!

During a trip to the U.S. consulate in Frankfurt, the young son of ex-Special Forces soldier Sara (Jeanne Goursaud) mysteriously vanishes without a sign. Shockingly, it seems no one recalls him ever being there. The authorities urge Sara to depart, but she’s convinced they hold no power within the U.S. embassy, and if she steps away now, she might lose her son forever. Undeterred, Sara ventures further into the complex maze of the consulate, frantically hunting for her boy, oblivious to the treacherous web of secrets closing in on her neck.

‘Exterritorial’ Is Set To Hit Netflix on April 30

The film titled “Exterritorial” is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on April 30, 2025, with a strong possibility of becoming the streaming giant’s next blockbuster action movie. Recently, Netflix has enjoyed success in the action genre, as films such as “Rebel Ridge”, “The Shadow Strays”, and “Carry-On” have attracted large audiences eager to witness more instances of villains receiving their well-deserved violent retribution.

According to its foundation and recent trailers, Exterritorial has all the elements that could make it a blockbuster action movie on Netflix. In this film, he teams up with Gareth Evans, the director of The Raid.

In “Havoc,” directed by Evans, Forest Whitaker, an Academy Award-winner, and Timothy Olyphant from “Justified” will join Hardy, along with a cast that includes Justin Cornwell (“The Umbrella Academy” and “Bel-Air”), Jessie Mei Li (“Last Night in Soho,” “Shadow and Bone”), Yeo Yann Yann (“American Born Chinese”), Quelin Sepulveda (“Good Omens”), Luis Guzmán (“Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F”), Sunny Pang (“Headshot”), and Michelle Waterson (“Fright Night”).
