As a gamer, I’m totally digging the fresh take on New Balance’s 9060 model! The new “Dark Olivine” colorway is a perfect blend of vintage military vibes, with shades of khaki, olive, and sage green that create an eye-catching dynamic look. It’s got just the right balance between tradition and minimalism – a perfect addition to my gaming gear!
The upper part of this shoe is mainly a warm olive green suede, with small sections of green mesh and subtle sage accents beneath. Its distinctive bulky base is crafted using a khaki midsole and a contrasting black outsole.
Or, in a more conversational tone:
This shoe has an olive green suede upper, with hints of green mesh and soft sage details peeking through. The lower half of the shoe is known for its chunkiness, which is achieved using a khaki midsole and a striking black outsole to add contrast.
At the back, a polished sage-colored heel counter sticks out slightly, bearing the black NB logo neatly sewn onto the heel tag. Upfront, braided green laces harmonize with the upper’s color scheme, flanked by two New Balance logos on the underside of the eyelets and atop the suede tongue.
As a devoted enthusiast, I’ve come to appreciate the unique history behind New Balance’s footwear. Although “Dark Olivine” isn’t recognized as an official military sneaker, the 950v2a from 2014, a collaboration with the U.S. Department of Defense, carries authentic military issue credentials. This partnership birthed the 1906M in 2024, a shoe adorned with Fantom Fit uppers, originally designed for our valiant armed forces.
At this moment, there’s no set release date for the New Balance 9060 in “Dark Olivine”. Keep checking back for further announcements, as it’s anticipated that this model will become available by Spring 2025.
