As a gamer who’s lived through the golden age of hip-hop and witnessed DMX’s raw energy and spiritual depth, this news about the posthumous album “Let Us Pray: Chapter X” has me feeling like I just got an epic boss battle upgrade! The collaboration list alone is enough to make any music enthusiast’s heart race.
A new posthumous album from DMX is coming this December.
“Let Us Pray: Chapter X” is slated for release on December 13 through Def Jam/UMe, showcasing a work that delves into the profoundness, emotion, and spirituality associated with DMX. Notable artists such as Snoop Dogg, Mary Mary, Killer Mike, MC Lyte, Lecrae, Terrace Martin, Lena Byrd Miles, and RoyzNoyz Orchestra are set to collaborate, while the late artist’s prayers will be enriched by original compositions from GRAMMY-winning songwriter and producer Warryn Campbell.
Working on ‘Let Us Pray: Chapter X’ has been incredibly rewarding for me as a creative. The voice of DMX sparked my creativity immediately. It felt truly special to pay tribute to who DMX truly was, through prayer. I think it’s safe to say that MC Lyte, Killer Mike, Snoop Dogg, LeCrae, Mary Mary, Lena Byrd Miles, and Terrace Martin all felt the same way – it was an honor and a privilege to contribute to such an outstanding project.
