New Jeopardy Video Highlights Ken Jennings' Hilarious Celebrity Impressions, But It's His Harley Quinn For The Win

As a dedicated fan of Jeopardy! since its early days, I must say that Ken Jennings has truly outdone himself as the game show’s latest host. With his impressive background as one of the biggest winners in Jeopardy!’s history and his uncanny knack for hilarious celebrity impressions, he has managed to bring a fresh energy to the show that keeps audiences coming back for more.

After Alex Trebek passed away in 2020, Jeopardy! has taken on a different feel. Yet, audiences have grown fond of Ken Jennings stepping into the hosting role (despite some recent whispers about him potentially being replaced). Jennings is not only one of the most successful Jeopardy contestants with over 70 victorious games under his belt, but he also excels at delivering amusing celebrity impressions as a host. We can’t seem to get enough of it!

The official Jeopardy! account posted a fantastic collection of Ken Jennings’ various celebrity impersonations during his hosting tenure thus far. Take a look at them: [Link]

Ken Jennings’ occasional appearances on the game show might make some viewers squirm, but it’s tough not to appreciate his entertaining impressions throughout the years. Not every impression is a masterpiece, but they all bring a touch of excitement to his interactions with contestants. He’s shown off an impressive range, from Borat and the Wicked Witch in The Wizard of Oz, to Daffy Duck, Jimmy Stewart, Michael Caine, and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

As a fan, I must say that among all his impressions, it’s his Harley Quinn that leaves me utterly astonished. Frankly, I never imagined Ken Jennings could bring such an authentic take on the DC character spontaneously and maintain such a deadpan expression. These unexpected moments on Jeopardy! are pure joy, and I eagerly anticipate even more delightful surprises in the future.

Audiences think so, too. One user said “How can you not love Ken?!?” in the Instagram comment section while another said they were “ready to hear some more.” Another fan reflected on “how nervous he was in his first few episodes” before becoming as “comfortable” as he is now. The user then shared that they were feeling “really happy” for Jennings and his journey to become the game show’s host.

Ken Jennings initially made his mark on “Jeopardy!” when he debuted as a contestant in 2004, and he reigned as champion until he was defeated by challenger Nancy Zerg five months after his initial appearance. Throughout his unbroken run, he amassed a total cash winnings of $2.5 million before boosting this to $4.3 million over the years. Prior to becoming the permanent host, Jennings wrote trivia books and co-hosted a podcast named “Omnibus” with John Roderick. He shared hosting duties with Mayim Bialik until her departure in 2023, and also hosted “Celebrity Jeopardy!” as well.

Get excited for another round of “Jeopardy” hosted by Ken Jennings (and his impersonations), as the Season 41 premiere is set to air on September 9, 2024, every weeknight at 7 p.m. Keep an eye out for which characters Jennings will bring to life next!
