As an ardent fan of Deepika Padukone, I have always admired her strength, grace, and resilience. Her journey from being a successful sports star to becoming one of Bollywood’s most beloved actresses is nothing short of inspiring. However, it was her courage to openly talk about her struggle with depression that truly endeared her to me.
As an overjoyed admirer, I find myself excitedly sharing the news: Yours truly, Deepika Padukone, who captivated us all with her role in Kalki 2898 AD earlier this year, has stepped into a new and beautiful role – motherhood! Her little bundle of joy arrived in September. More recently, our beloved Deepika has been candidly discussing the challenges of burnout and sleepless nights that come with motherhood. She’s revealed how these periods can impact her decision-making abilities.
On World Mental Health Day 2024, Deepika Padukone participated in the Live Love Laugh Foundation’s lecture series. A video shared by Quint on YouTube showcased Deepika discussing her personal encounter with burnout and its impact on her mental wellbeing.
The new mother acknowledged that a lack of sleep affects the actress’s ability to make sound decisions.
On those draining days, when I’m running low on sleep or energy, I really feel it in the choices I make. There are certain times when I sense a burnout creeping in, usually after skipping my self-care routines or not getting enough rest…I can tell that my decision-making abilities start to falter a bit.” – A devoted fan.
As a devoted admirer, I too would like to share my reflections on managing intense emotions and criticisms, similar to Deepika Padukone. Just like her, I view feelings such as pain or anger as normal occurrences in life. It’s essential to channel criticism constructively, making it a tool for personal growth rather than a source of distress. Furthermore, the actress, now a proud mother, emphasized that we must recognize that significant transformations don’t happen immediately.
In the year 2014, Deepika Padukone experienced struggles with depression. To raise awareness on mental health issues, she launched the Live Love Laugh Foundation in the year 2015.

In the world of cinema, Deepika Padukone first appeared on screen in Farah Khan’s movie, Om Shanti Om, back in 2007, where she starred alongside Shah Rukh Khan.
