As a lifelong sports enthusiast with a particular fondness for basketball and LeBron James, I must say that this Nike-Hasbro collaboration has me absolutely thrilled! Growing up playing Monopoly with my family, never did I imagine such an iconic game would be reimagined to celebrate the career of one of the greatest athletes of our time.
On the joyous occasion of Monopoly Day falling on November 19th, Nike and Hasbro have joined forces to reveal a limited-edition Monopoly board game, making me as a gamer incredibly excited!
Celebrating LeBron James, this unique Monopoly set comes with themed items like branded King James rings, shoes, basketballs, and jersey playing pieces. The game board focuses on significant events in LBJ’s life and career, featuring “Bron Bucks” and other memorable milestones scattered across the board. To mark this partnership, Hasbro and Nike will present this custom Monopoly board to LeBron James at House Three Thirty in Akron, OH. Sixth to eighth graders from his I Promise School will have an opportunity to play a life-size version of the game on Monopoly Day. Each attendee will receive a special edition MONOPOLY: LeBron James board game and merchandise from the LeBron 22 x MONOPOLY collaboration.
The new board game coincides with the release of LeBron 22’s “Currency” and “Token,” scheduled for November 15th and 19th, respectively.
