As a dedicated sneakerhead and long-time Nike enthusiast, I am thrilled to witness the latest addition to Nike’s extensive catalog: the Air Max Sunder in “Metallic Gold.” With my eyes glued to the latest sneaker releases, I have eagerly anticipated this drop since the unveiling of the “Golden Bullet” colorway on the Air Max DN earlier this year.
Product Name: Nike Air Max with Sunder Label
Nike has a strong connection to gold at the moment. With the upcoming 2024 Olympic Games in Paris approaching, this preference makes perfect sense. Nike recently introduced the warm-toned Air Max DN in “Golden Bullet,” which draws inspiration from the popular Air Max 97 “Golden Bullet.” Now, Nike is expanding its gold obsession by releasing the Air Max Sunder in “Metallic Gold.”
In this new design, the primary color is black, which covers the neoprene or tech-fabric upper, zipper, interior mesh, tongue, heel pull tabs, toe cap, midsole, and outsole. The metallic gold accents include the shoe’s overlay encircling the entire model, piping around the edges, a midsole detail, and the iconic Nike Swoosh. Perforated side decals with round elements come in both black and metallic gold.
In June 2023, Nike unveiled images of the new “Canyon Gold” Air Max Sunder. Its upper boasts a captivating sunset color. You can still purchase this shoe if you haven’t yet. With numerous Air Max Sunder releases emerging, it’s evident that the retro design is making a strong comeback.
During the Holiday 2024 season, Nike’s Air Max Sunder in the “Metallic Gold” colorway is predicted to hit the shelves with a price tag of $180 USD.
