As a lifelong fan of both denim fashion and Nissan automobiles, I can hardly contain my excitement for this incredible collaboration! Growing up in the heartland of denim culture, I’ve always admired the craftsmanship and timeless appeal of selvedge denim. And as a proud owner of a classic Nissan, I appreciate the brand’s commitment to innovation and quality.
BEAMS has teamed up with Nissan on a joint project, leading to a fresh conceptualization of six top-selling Nissan models in Japan, each adorned with interior trimmings made from selvedge denim.
The “Denim Tribute” collection builds upon a previous partnership showcased at Tokyo Auto Salon 2024, called the “ROOX BEAMS Customized Concept.” Led by surf and skate buyer, Tadayuki Kato, classic denim aesthetics serve as the foundation for custom versions of the Sakura, ROOX, Note, Serena, and X-Trail models.
Regarding our partnership, Kato expressed that we zeroed in on denim for several reasons. Firstly, denim is considered a staple in fashion. Secondly, and perhaps most importantly, it becomes more comfortable with wear, which mirrors the comfort that cars bring into our daily lives.
As a gamer, I’d describe these seat covers as denim inside-out, sporting bold red trimmings and distinctive BEAMS pistol tags. These details aren’t just for show; they represent BEAMS’ philosophy that the best things in fashion have no front or back. Each model flaunts BEAMS’ classic navy and orange accents, along with co-branded emblems on the exterior.
As a gaming enthusiast, I’m thrilled about this exclusive line-up that seamlessly blends my favorite label’s fashion heritage with Nissan’s advanced automotive tech, creating a one-of-a-kind fusion that catches the eye without overwhelming.
