Recently, during the Reliance Industries’ annual general meeting (AGM), Nita Ambani, chairperson of the Reliance Foundation, formally introduced her younger daughter-in-law for the first time.
The initial festivities leading up to the wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant commenced in Jamnagar, a location significant as it houses Anant’s animal welfare project, Vantara – a sprawling 3,500-acre sanctuary dedicated to wildlife rescue and rehabilitation.
In her speech at the 47th Reliance AGM, Nita Ambani reminisced about Jamnagar, a city that holds personal significance as it’s where her mother-in-law, Kokilaben Ambani, was born and her father-in-law, Dhirubhai Ambani, worked. She expressed her joy seeing her son, Anant, choosing to make Jamnagar his place of service.
To wrap things up, she offered a heartfelt acknowledgement towards Radhika Merchant, welcoming her into the Reliance group. She was extremely thankful for the abundance of blessings and well-wishes that were bestowed upon the newly married couple.

Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant kicked off their wedding celebrations in Jamnagar back in March. The grand finale of their pre-wedding events took place on July 12, culminating in their actual wedding. Notable figures from around the world graced this significant occasion with their presence.
Indeed, following the conclusion of their wedding celebrations and three separate receptions, the newlyweds returned yet again to Jamnagar. Subsequently, they traveled to Paris for the Olympic Games and subsequently journeyed to Costa Rica and Panama for their honeymoon.
