‘Nobody Wants This’ Co-Stars Kristen Bell and Adam Brody Haven’t Watched Each Other’s Hit Teen Dramas

As a gamer with a soft spot for nostalgia, I find it hard to believe that these two iconic characters from my teenage years haven’t seen each other’s shows. It’s like Veronica Mars and Seth Cohen never really existed in their world!

Kristen Bell and Adam Brody openly confessed they’ve never seen the series that propelled each other’s acting success.

Bell played the role of a teenage detective in the series ‘Veronica Mars’, where she delved into the lives of the wealthy and influential in the make-believe coastal town of Neptune. On another California-based show, ‘The O.C.’, Brody embodied Seth Cohen, a character known for being brainy yet cool, who originated the concept of Chrismukkah.

As a gamer diving into a fresh gaming session, I recently tuned in to the Armchair Expert podcast, hosted by my buddy’s better half (Dax Shepard), where my fellow actors from the upcoming Netflix rom-com series made an appearance. In our nearly two-hour chat, we confessed that we were yet to watch the iconic, early 2000s TV shows that had taken the world by storm.

Bell openly admitted that she had never watched an episode of “The O.C.”, which caused Brody and Shepard to erupt in laughter. But, she did acknowledge finding the actor attractive at one point. She further explained, “Of course I had a crush on Adam. Who didn’t?

It was astonishing to me, admitting that I’ve never watched an episode of “Veronica Mars.” Brody shared my surprise, confessing the same. “That one really stings,” Ted Danson from “The Good Place” commented, and “Fleishman Is in Trouble” actor Jesse Eisenberg echoed, “Really?” I responded with a nod, acknowledging a slight twinge of pain.

In a recent podcast, the host stood up for his spouse, arguing it was acceptable she hadn’t watched “The O.C.”, but found it unjust that Brody had missed out on “Veronica Mars”. The actress known for voicing a character in “Frozen” confessed she often feels shy about admitting she hasn’t seen “The O.C.” due to having numerous friends who appeared on the show.

Bell mentioned that she had a strong bond with Rachel Bilson, a relationship that persists to this day. She also shared that during that time, she was more focused on living her life than watching much television.” (Shepard was in her 20s and out experiencing life.)

As for me, I didn’t spend my time binging on high school series. Instead, I could be found at the Sunset 5 [movie theater]. That’s what Zachary Levi, aka Shazam, clarified about his pastime.

Bell stated, “I’ve never watched The O.C., but I really like Adam. That’s clear, isn’t it? Everyone has felt the same way. They still do. And I’m no exception.
