Actor Norman Reedus has been confirmed to work alongside Joseph Gordon-Levitt, known for his role in “The Dark Knight Rises,” and Phoebe Dynevor, star of “Fair Play,” on a chilling new movie project led by producer Darren Aronofsky.
In the upcoming horror movie titled “Pendulum“, Andrew Lincoln will share screen time with Gordon-Levitt and Dynevor. The film is directed by Mark Heyman, who is also known for his collaboration with filmmaker Darren Aronofsky on scripts like “Black Swan” and “The Skeleton Twins“. Aronofsky, famed for movies like “The Whale” and “Requiem for a Dream“, produces this film along with Jacob Jaffke, Élan Klein Jaffke, and Dave Caplan. Notably, Heyman will make his directorial debut with “Pendulum“.
As a film enthusiast, I eagerly anticipate the upcoming movie titled “Pendulum“. According to the official summary, this thriller follows my journey with my partner, Patrick (Gordon-Levitt), and Abigail (Dynevor), as we venture to a mysterious new-age retreat in New Mexico, seeking solace after a harrowing experience. Although I’m ready to go to great lengths to aid my wife, I grow increasingly suspicious of the enigmatic leader at this retreat, despite Abigail being drawn under her influence. As our suspicions escalate, we must decipher whether the group’s unorthodox spiritual practices offer genuine healing or conceal a chilling secret that could engulf us both. It is said that Reedus will portray the role of our friend who introduces Patrick and Abigail to this mystifying retreat.
Actors from The Walking Dead series will appear this summer in the long-awaited action movie, Ballerina – a groundbreaking spin-off of the John Wick franchise. Reedus will take on the character Daniel Pine in this film, with details about his character still scarce. Originally delayed due to intensive reshoots, Ballerina is now scheduled for release on June 6th. Moreover, Reedus has just completed filming for season three of a yet-to-be-released show, which is slated for airing in 2025.
Darren Aronofsky’s New Film Releases This Year
Apart from producing “Pendulum”, Darren Aronofsky’s upcoming movie is slated for release in cinemas on August 29 this year. Titled “Caught Stealing”, this film is adapted from a novel of the same name by Charlie Huston, and boasts an impressive ensemble cast including Vincent D’Onofrio (“Daredevil: Born Again”), Austin Butler (“Elvis”), Liev Schreiber (“Spotlight”), Matt Smith (“House of the Dragon”), Zoë Kravitz (“The Batman”), and Regina King (“Watchmen”). Interestingly, Charlie Huston, who is also known for writing the Hank Thompson books, penned the screenplay for this movie as well.
After the release of “The Whale” in 2022, Darren Aronofsky’s next film, titled “Caught Stealing“, comes to light. Notably, “The Whale” received three Oscar nominations at the 95th Academy Awards and secured two victories. Among these accolades, Brendan Fraser garnered his first-ever Oscar for Best Actor for his portrayal of Charlie in the movie. Additionally, Aronofsky is widely recognized for his work on films like “Mother!” and “Black Swan“. Interestingly, it was with “Black Swan” that Aronofsky earned his initial nomination for Best Director.
There is no official release date for Pendulum.
