Nyan Heroes Is Hosting An eXputer Exclusive Q&A Play Session

9 Lives Interactive is teaming up with eXputer for their upcoming game, Nyan Heroes, to reveal a sneak peek of playtest 4. This brief sneak peek will offer players the opportunity to interact and compete against Nyan Heroes’ Senior Community Manager, Tyler Nolin, and Principal Technical Game Designer, Tom Bolton.

Test Play 4 will officially launch from March 26 to April 14, but a special preview is scheduled for an early start on March 25 at 7PM ET. This advance peek will give players the unique opportunity to engage with the developers and explore the new content through Epic Games.

How To Join

You can connect with other players using special codes provided on the Nyan Heroes Discord server. Stay tuned for the official announcement for more details about what’s coming up. The studio will soon share a video guide to help players get started. We’ll post the video as soon as it becomes available on eXputer.

For the less familiar, Nyan Heroes is a pet project of seasoned developers who have contributed to popular games such as Halo, Destiny, World of Tanks, Microsoft Flight Simulator, Call of Duty, Ghost Recon, and many others. At one time, it held the top spot for most wished-for games on the Epic Games Store, and has accumulated close to a million hours of community playtesting in the tests conducted so far.

Test run 4 offers an abundance of fresh gameplay options for players to savor, featuring a novel character, a unique game setting, and a brand-new map.

New Hero: Coco The Pilot

Coco is the upcoming hero with very interesting lore and some cool abilities, which are:

  • Augment: Deploy Turrets – Build turrets that shoot at enemies. These help protect his team or make it harder for enemies to get close.
  • Main Ability: Magnetic Platform – Make a floating platform that vertically elevates his teammates up high. This helps them see better, reach higher spots, or get away from danger.
  • Passive: Scavenger – Picks up scraps from enemies he and his team defeats. He uses these scraps to make his armor stronger and keep his team safer.
  • Ultimate: Scrap Goliath – Build a giant version of himself that throws out metal pieces. These pieces explode to hurt enemies and give extra armor to his teammates for a short time.

New Map: Tokyo

Following the Guardian Uprising, numerous Feral Guardian Headquarters were established near key global cities for tactical command purposes. Notably, Tokyo – a city rich in history and culture important to the Nyans – was one of the final strongholds erected as a defense against the feral robot rebellion.

As a fervent enthusiast, embarking on the quest to reclaim the long-lost Tokyo is no walk in the park. However, with Battledome tech at my disposal, this training simulation focuses heavily on mastering vertical mobility, urban combat strategies, and flawless synchronization in cramped settings. With the city’s transformation into an unknown battleground by rogue robots, a swift and adaptable arena fight has been designed to help me quickly acclimate to any circumstance I might encounter.

New Game Mode: Fishball

Fishball is an energetic, contest-driven game style that takes its cues from Call of Duty’s Uplink. In this game, teams compete to score points by either carrying or hurling the ball into the opposing team’s goal. The matches take place over two rounds (unless the map permits only one), and the first team to accumulate the highest number of points is declared the winner. If time elapses without a clear victor, the outcome is decided by factors such as kills and damage inflicted. A Sudden Death mode is employed to guarantee a definitive conclusion.

Nyan Heroes represents a thrilling, team-oriented game where tiny felines control massive mechanical suits. Crafted by 9 Lives Interactive, it’s due to release with its playtest version 4 soon. We’re grateful for the chance to experience this unique creation!
