As an avid gamer with a keen eye for streetwear and a heart that beats for American sportswear, this OBEY x Reebok collaboration has me absolutely stoked! My love for both brands runs deep, having grown up in the golden age of skate culture where OBEY’s iconic designs were as ubiquitous as my trusty Gameboy. And let’s not forget the timeless appeal of Reebok classics that adorned the feet of many a character in my favorite video games!
Collaboratively, OBEY and Reebok have combined efforts to introduce a fresh lineup of sneakers and clothing inspired by classic designs from the iconic American sports apparel brand.
The line includes three joint footwear silhouettes: the Club C 85, the Premier Road Plus IV and the BB 4000 II shoes. The Club C 85 is a tennis-inspired model with a leather upper and an OBEY window box logo, while the Premier Road Plus IV is a running-inspired shoe with a DMX foam midsole and TPU plate. The BB 4000 II, meanwhile, is a basketball shoe with a leather upper, suede overlays and a custom sockliner.
In other parts, the collaboration encompasses various athletic apparel pieces such as track jackets and pullover hoodies adorned with shared symbols on the front, along with graphic t-shirts boasting logomania designs. Additionally, the collection includes a soccer-inspired jersey in red, bearing the “OBEY” label extensively, and subtle track pants that complement all of the previously mentioned tops.
Currently, Reebok is in a collaborative phase, as evidenced by their recent release of a joint collection. This new collaboration follows Reebok’s previous partnerships with Needles and BEAMS, which resulted in unique takes on the Instapump Fury 94 design last month.
