Octavia Spencer’s ‘Lost Women,’ ‘Feds’ Renewed at ID

As a huge fan of true crime content and an admirer of Octavia Spencer’s impressive acting career, I couldn’t be more thrilled about her latest achievements as an executive producer and narrator for Investigation Discovery’s “Lost Women” franchise and the FBI docuseries “Feds.”

Octavia Spencer, a two-time Oscar winner, will be returning for more seasons of the true crime series “Lost Women” and the FBI documentary “Feds,” both produced by Investigation Discovery.

In November 2023, the initial episodes of “Lost Women of Highway 20” and “Feds” debuted on Investigation Discovery (ID), and are now available to stream on Max. The shows have been renewed due to a production agreement between Orit Entertainment by Spencer, October Films, discovery+, and ID, the true crime network.

The upcoming installment of the “Lost Women” series will delve into the gruesome killings of Native Alaskan women, Veronica Abouchuk and Kathleen Jo Henry. Their tragic cases led investigators to apprehend and bring to justice their sadistic perpetrator, Brian Steven Smith. Meanwhile, a fresh season of “Feds” invites audiences for an unfiltered look into the inner workings of the esteemed FBI crime-fighting organization in the United States.

As a true crime enthusiast with a deep passion for shedding light on overlooked stories, I am thrilled to announce my role in executive producing both the new series of “Feds” and narrating the latest installment of “Lost Women.” My long-standing collaboration with ID and October Films reflects our shared dedication to bringing truth and justice to the forefront.

The “Lost Women” series, which examines how society handles the plight of women, began with “Lost Women of Highway 20.” This event show explored the mysterious disappearance of a 13-year-old girl and revealed a long-hidden true crime saga along an Oregon highway.

The television productions “Lost Women” and “Feds” are overseen by the same production teams: Orit Entertainment (Spencer, Clisham, and Kluft), and October Films (Matt Robins. Christina Douglas from Momentum Content is involved in “Lost Women” as well.)
