As a longtime basketball enthusiast who has witnessed the evolution of James Harden’s signature sneakers, I am thrilled to see the upcoming adidas Harden Vol. 9 take shape. With my years of following the game, I can attest that Harden’s unique playing style demands a shoe that matches his versatility, and these new designs with their distinctive crescent-shaped Three Stripes certainly seem to deliver on that front.
Product Names: Adidas Harden Vol. 9 in “Core White” and “Cyber Metallic
We’re officially less than a week away from the start of the 2024-25 NBA season and it’s shaping up to be yet another exciting year for basketball. For James Harden specifically, he’ll be taking on a bigger role with the Los Angeles Clippers since Paul George signed with the Philadelphia 76ers during the offseason.
At the beginning of the season, it’s anticipated that the experienced guard will wear the Adidas Harden Vol. 8, but it won’t be long before we see him debuting the Adidas Harden Vol. 9 as Adidas has already released official images of these unannounced sneakers. Interestingly, we got a glimpse of a prototype design for the Harden Vol. 9 back in January, even before the Harden Vol. 8 was officially launched, and these new pictures confirm that Harden’s next signature shoe will feature an innovative upper. Initially available in “Core White” and “Cyber Metallic” colorways, which mix their primary shade with a black base, the shoes boast crescent-shaped Three Stripes cut-outs on each side, covering most of the upper. Harden’s logo is etched at the heel while a traditional set of Three Stripes extends from the sole’s heel to the top of the midsole.
As I write this, neither adidas nor James Harden have disclosed any information about the Adidas Harden Vol. 9. Keep an eye out for further developments, such as a comprehensive rundown of its features, since we anticipate the sneaker to debut around the NBA All-Star Break, similar to the Harden Vol. 8 which was released in mid-February this year. The shoe is expected to hit stores through adidas and selected retailers at an initial price of $160 USD.
