As a long-time basketball enthusiast who has witnessed the rise and fall of many iconic teams, I must say that Nike never ceases to amaze me with their ability to create nostalgia-inducing shoes. The upcoming “Seattle Supersonics” SB Dunk Low is no exception. With its vibrant color scheme reminiscent of the 90s, this shoe harks back to a time when the Sonics were a force to be reckoned with, and I can still hear Michael Jordan’s name being chanted in disdain during those legendary NBA Finals matches.
Product Name: Nike SB Dunk Low – Seattle Supersonics Edition
News Update: Approximately six months after its initial appearance, Nike has officially revealed its “Seattle Supersonics”-inspired version of the SB Dunk Low. The design harks back to the dawn of the new millennium with a vintage color scheme that is slated for release next month. As previously mentioned, the pair boasts a forest green, vibrant red, white, and gold color palette, which will be available through Nike SNKRS and selected skate shops on December 17 at an initial price point of $125 USD.
A fresh version of a popular Nike design has emerged: the Nike SB Dunk Low PRM, which is a tribute to the Seattle Supersonics, a former NBA team. The newly designed Nike SB Dunk Lows are acknowledging the iconic 1995-2001 uniforms, particularly those worn during the Sonics’ 1996 NBA Finals against Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls.
The shoe boasts a dynamic color combination, including fir, white, university gold, and fire red. It’s made from premium leather, mesh, and suede materials. Breathability is ensured through perforations on the toe box, and comfort is enhanced by a padded tongue. A red suede base upper is accented with green suede overlays, while the white leather Swoosh stands out against university gold highlights. Three different colored laces are included, with the shoe resting on a white midsole and gum rubber outsole to complete its design.
Keep an eye peeled for the Nike SB Dunk Low PRM “Seattle Supersonics” hitting selected stores and Nike’s online platform this festive season, priced at $125 USD each.
