Old-School

A well-known figure in horror movies, Matthew Lillard, has hinted at his return to the Scream series with the upcoming Scream 7, directed by original writer Kevin Williamson. Although specifics are under wraps, Lillard’s recent comments suggest that Scream 7 will capture the essence of the original Scream, promising a nostalgic experience for fans. Indeed, our anticipation is growing!

In the 1996 Wes Craven-directed horror film, Scream, Damian Lillard portrays Stu Macher. Stu is widely adored in the Scream series, and despite Sidney Prescott managing to kill him by smashing his skull with a TV, he’s set to reappear in the seventh installment. However, the specifics of his return remain unclear.

The actor recently chatted with ComingSoon about a few exciting projects, including _Scream 7_, his own line of whiskey, and another horror sequel, _Five Nights at Freddy’s 2_. With numerous ventures in progress, he’s currently enjoying a well-deserved resurgence. Among these, _Scream 7_ stands out as the highly anticipated one for many fans. During their conversation, Lillard shared insights on receiving Williamson’s call to reprise his Stu character and the nostalgic feel of the movie.

I was quite thrilled about it. I had numerous questions for Kevin when he contacted me. I’m genuinely enthused, even eager to return. I sincerely hope the fans are pleased. I sincerely hope people are excited to see me, and I just hope I don’t mess it up. After all, I believe people will appreciate it. Moreover, I think the script is excellent. I think the cast is top-notch, so I’m genuinely optimistic that it will be a success.

Working with Neve Campbell again feels like catching up with an old friend, and it’s fantastic! We’re all quite optimistic about the project because it seems to capture the classic Scream vibe that fans love. Despite being in many poor films and receiving less-than-ideal roles, this one feels special – a thrilling ride I’m excited for fans to experience.

Apart from his basketball skills, Damian Lillard is recognized for his acting roles in shows like “Scooby-Doo” and “Twin Peaks: The Return”. The exciting journey of Lillard’s acting career continues as “Scream 7” is expected nine months from now, “Five Nights at Freddy’s 2” is slated for a December release this year, and negotiations are ongoing for him to join the Mike Flanagan adaptation of “Carrie” on TV.

“I Was Definitely Not Supposed To Be Announced Until the Trailer”

Information about the plot of Scream 7 is still under wraps, but it appears that both writer Scott Teems and Guy Busick have devised a method to resurrect the deceased. Characters played by actors like Courteney Cox (as Gale Weathers), David Arquette (as Dewey Riley), and Neve Campbell (as Sidney Prescott) will return, despite their characters being killed in earlier installments. So far, only cast and crew confirmations have been released to fans, although, as David Arquette had mentioned before, this information was supposed to remain secret. Courteney Cox herself confirms this to ComingSoon.

Although I wasn’t initially meant to be revealed until the trailer, it became clear that once production on ‘Scream 7’ started, people would naturally become curious about the area. Since keeping me a secret and moving me discreetly would have been challenging, we decided to share the news ourselves before any potential leak. So, things unfolded as they did. It’s just the reality of modern technology, and I don’t think anyone was excessively surprised. I’d say that sums it up.
