Olivia Nuzzi Leaves New York Magazine Following Investigation

As a long-time follower of Olivia Nuzzi’s journalistic journey, I must say her departure from New York Magazine is a bittersweet moment for me. Her insights and unique perspective on the 2024 election have always been a highlight for me, and her writing style is one that truly resonates with many readers.

According to reports, Olivia Nuzzi is no longer with New York Magazine, following an examination of her reporting on the 2024 election which discovered no indications of bias, as stated by the magazine itself.

The magazine declared on Monday that it and journalist Olivia Nuzzi had decided to end their professional relationship, following an investigation. Last month, the publication hired law firm Davis Wright Tremaine to examine Nuzzi’s work during the 2024 campaign. Their findings matched those of the initial internal review of her published articles, revealing no errors or signs of bias. Despite this, both parties agreed that it would be best for them to go their separate ways. Nuzzi is an exceptionally skilled writer and we have been delighted to feature her work as our Washington Correspondent for nearly eight years.

Ari Wilkenfeld, legal representative for Nuzzi, pointed out in a statement that two distinct reviews of the reporter’s work uncovered no instances of bias. The reporter expresses appreciation towards her editors, fact-checkers, and artistic colleagues, as well as to her readers who have provided their time, subscriptions, and active engagement. She is eager for the upcoming phase of her career.

Following disclosures in September about a digital connection between Nuzzi and 2024 presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., it’s been revealed that New York made the decision to place him on leave, after he admitted his relationship involved a former topic of his reporting. Oliver Darcy, from Status newsletter, was the first to break the news that the individual in question was Kennedy Jr. In August, Kennedy Jr. withdrew from the presidential race and now endorses the Republican nominee, former president Donald Trump.

More to come.
