Olivia Rodrigo is Surprise Plus-One at Venice Film Festival to Support Boyfriend’s ‘Disclaimer’ Debut

As a dedicated gamer and pop culture enthusiast with a soft spot for both music and movies, this news about Olivia Rodrigo making a surprise appearance at the Venice Film Festival has truly sent my excitement levels soaring!

On Thursday evening, a well-known global pop star made an unexpected appearance at the Venice Film Festival.

As I took a brief hiatus from my Guts World Tour before heading back to Bangkok, Thailand on September 15th, I decided to jet off to Italy. The main reason for this trip? To support my boyfriend Louis Partridge in his role for the Apple TV+ limited series “Disclaimer”. This was our first public appearance at an official event together, though we didn’t walk the red carpet side by side outside Palazzo del Cinema. Instead, we attended a pre-premiere cocktail reception at Hotel Excelsior and a post-screening gathering at Palazzina Grassi. Snaps from the paparazzi showed us moving about before and after these events. Vogue wrote about my outing and described my ’90s-inspired outfit as stunning!

Rodrigo herself took some photographs as proof. She was observed filming Partridge during the grand unveiling of the show at the Sala Grande, where _Disclaimer_ received a hearty standing ovation from the crowd. The initial four episodes were premiered during the screening, with additional episodes shown at a separate screening event. This Apple Studios series, told across seven chapters, is adapted from Renée Knight’s best-selling novel of the same name. The star-studded cast includes Cate Blanchett, Kevin Kline, Sacha Baron Cohen, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Lesley Manville, Leila George, Hoyeon, and Partridge.

Warning: The role falls to Blanchett as renowned journalist Catherine Ravenscroft, a woman who earned her reputation by unveiling wrongdoings and misdeeds of others. However, when she encounters an anonymous author’s novel, she is shocked to find herself as the central character in a tale that lays bare her deepest, hidden secrets.

After his appearances in “Argylle,” “The Lost Girls,” “Paddington 2,” and the “Enola Holmes” series alongside Millie Bobby Brown, Partridge joins the cast of “Disclaimer.” He’s also completed a role in Noah Baumbach’s upcoming untitled film featuring stars like Adam Sandler, George Clooney, Riley Keough, Emily Mortimer, Billy Crudup, Eve Hewson, Laura Dern, Isla Fisher, Patrick Wilson, Greta Gerwig, and others. “Disclaimer” is set to debut globally on Apple TV+ on October 11, with the first two episodes available immediately, followed by new episodes every Friday.
