One Piece Season 2 Filming Complete: Get Ready for an Epic First Look!

frankly speaking, I had been anticipating the premiere of One Piece Season 2 in the TV lineup of 2025, but given it wasn’t listed among Netflix’s upcoming movies and shows for this year, it appears that won’t be the case. Therefore, we’ll need to patiently wait until 2026 for the return of One Piece, but I’m thrilled to share that Season 2 has reached a significant milestone. It’s been officially confirmed that filming is complete, and along with this news, we got our first glimpse of a crucial location that I can hardly wait to explore.

Although Season 2 will stop just short of hitting the Alabasta arc from the manga/anime, there’s still plenty of good real estate from the manga/anime to cover for the next batch of episodes. That includes Monkey D. Luffy, Roronoa Zoro, Nami, Usopp and Sanji’s visit to Loguetown, the birthplace of Gold D. Roger, the King of the Pirates, as well as where he was executed. Check out the Straw Hats in that city in the below image that was shared on Instagram and other social media platforms to accompany the news of Season 2 wrapping production.

In “One Piece” Season 2, after defeating Arlong, the main characters will make their way to Loguetown – their last destination before crossing the Grand Line. Contrary to expectations, it won’t be a simple supply-buying trip for the Straw Hats. This part of the story is set to introduce several new characters: Smoker (portrayed by Iñaki Godoy), Tashigi (Julia Rehwald), and Dragon (Rigo Sanchez). There will also be the first alliance between Buggy and Alvida. Without revealing specific spoilers, it’s exciting to see how the show adapts this arc compared to its representation in the manga and anime. Mackenyu, Emily Rudd, Jacob Romero Gibson, and Taz Skylar are among the talented cast members joining the action on the Loguetown set.

After the storyline in Loguetown wraps up, the One Piece series will explore the adventures involving Reverse Mountain (Twin Cape), Whiskey Peak, Little Garden, and Drum Island. Notable characters like David Dastmalchian as Mr. 3, Charithra Chandran as Miss Wednesday, Katey Sagal as Dr. Kureha, Sendhil Ramamurthy as Nefertari Cobra, Lera Abova as Miss All Sunday, and Joe Manganiello as Mr. 0, aka Crocodile, will make appearances in these storylines. Additionally, we’ll encounter the next member of the Straw Hat crew, Chopper, who was first glimpsed last September, but his actor has yet to be announced.

I strongly believe that “One Piece” is among the top series to savor on Netflix, so if you’ve managed to read this far but haven’t watched Season 1 yet, my suggestion would be to rectify that without delay. Once you do, we can both eagerly anticipate Season 2, especially with the live-action portrayal of Loguetown’s events.
