ONLY NY Drops New MTA Collection Celebrating the City’s Bus Lines

Building on its productive partnerships with New York City’s Mass Transit Authority (MTA), ONLY NY has introduced a fresh line of merchandise centering around the popular bus routes within the city’s public transit system. Blending contemporary and historical MTA designs, the label provides an array of items such as hoodies, quarter-zips, hats, graphic t-shirts, and keychains that embody the brand’s genuine and nostalgic spirit.

In a recent Instagram post featuring campaign photos taken in Brooklyn, the brand explained that their new designs were inspired by the emblems of Manhattan and Brooklyn’s bus systems. They created two unique patches to honor each borough’s transportation network. The post went on to say that this release embodies the idea “Linking New Yorkers with New York City,” emphasizing the crucial function of public transport in connecting the city’s infrastructure to its residents.

The collection is spearheaded by a set of jersey knit tees and sweaters showcasing a 90s-inspired NYCTA (New York City Transit Authority) design, which includes a thin font in a gradient from blue to yellow. Additionally, you’ll find a heather gray tee and a black hoodie adorned with an aged graphic representing all New York City boroughs at the back and an MTA Bus Department emblem on the front. For those preferring a more subtle touch, consider the MTA Token tees and Apple Logo Quarterzips, which boast smaller emblems.

In this accessory lineup, you’ll find black, green, and navy caps adorned with embroidered badges showcasing either the Brooklyn Division or Manhattan Division symbols, as well as a recurrence of the Apple Logo. The collection concludes with an exclusive memento – miniature versions of the iconic MTA worker gloves transformed into keychains.
