An original cast member from the debut episode of NCIS shares a plausible perspective about rejoining the enduring TV series. Over twenty years post Mark Harmon’s exit, the CBS drama continues its success and is gearing up for NCIS season 23.
In a recent chat with TV Insider, David James Elliott candidly explained why his character Harm from JAG won’t be making a comeback.
I performed that action as R. Scott Gemmill, a writer from the first two seasons of ‘JAG’, inspired me. He later moved on to produce ‘ER’ and then ‘NCIS: LA’, and we remain friends. I proposed an idea to him, which he found appealing. We discussed possibly developing the Harm character or something similar, but he suggested an alternative instead, and I was delighted. It was enjoyable collaborating with him. To be honest, I don’t know many people from ‘NCIS’, but if they approached me, I’d certainly think about it, so who knows?
