Oscar Nominations: Watch the Livestream

On Thursday morning, Rachel Sennott and Bowen Yang are set to announce the list of this year’s Oscar nominees. The announcement has been rescheduled due to several postponements resulting from the Los Angeles wildfire outbreak.

I’ll be up bright and early at 5:30 a.m. Pacific Time to catch Sennott and Yang unveiling nominees across all 23 Oscar categories! Whether you’re on the go or cozy at home, you can tune in from anywhere by visiting Oscar.com, Oscars.org, or following along with the Academy’s social media channels like TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook.

Additionally, the announcements are set to air on ABC’s “Good Morning America,” and they can be streamed on ABC News Live, Disney+, and Hulu as well.

The nominees for various categories will be announced in two batches. At 5:30 a.m. Pacific Time, Yang and Sennott will disclose the nominations for best actor and actress in a supporting role, animated short film, costume design, live action short film, makeup and hairstyling, music, adapted screenplay, and original screenplay. Ten minutes later, the hosts will announce the nominees for best actor and actress in a leading role, animated feature film, cinematography, directing, documentary feature film, documentary short film, editing, international feature film, original song, production design, sound, visual effects, and best picture.

The nominations for the 97th Oscars have been postponed twice in recent weeks due to the Academy extending the voting period for its members following the Los Angeles wildfires. Originally scheduled for January 17, the event was initially rescheduled to January 19 and later to February 23.

The Academy announced its decision to contribute the intended $250,000 for this year’s Oscar Nominees Luncheon towards aiding Los Angeles residents impacted by the recent wildfires instead.

Voting for the academy will start on February 11 and end on February 18. The 97th Academy Awards ceremony will happen on March 2 at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, and it will be broadcast live on ABC. Conan O’Brien is the host for this event.
