2025’s Oscars had fans anticipating the outcome of the American-Hindi film Anuja, which Priyanka Chopra supported. Unfortunately, it was announced that the film didn’t win the category for Best Live Action Short Film; instead, the honor went to the Dutch production titled I’m Not a Robot in this category.

In simple terms, the movie “I’m Not a Robot” (Dutch) was among the competitors in various categories at the 97th Academy Awards, including films like “Anuja” by Priyanka Chopra (English), “The Last Ranger” (English and Xhosa), and “The Man Who Could Not Remain Silent” (Croatian). On Monday, it was announced that “I’m Not a Robot” had won a prestigious award at the Academy Awards.

Among the nominees this year, Anuja, directed by Adam J. Graves, was one of just two films with connections to India, the other being Smriti Mundhra’s documentary “I Am Ready, Warden” in the category of Best Documentary Short Film contention.
