Our Legacy Rebuilds Deconstructed Garments in A.1 WORK SHOP CRAFT Capsule

As a seasoned enthusiast of sustainable and unique fashion, this latest offering from Our Legacy WORK SHOP has truly piqued my interest! With a rich history of craftsmanship and a keen eye for reimagining classics, it’s no surprise that their A.1 WORK SHOP CRAFT collection caught my attention.

The unique workshop of the modern Swedish label, Our Legacy, has unveiled a fresh collection known as A.1 Workshop Craft. This collection is created by transforming existing Our Legacy clothing into entirely new items.

The studio carefully selected each garment from their archives, examining various ways to refresh the individual designs. Each item showcases a distinctive, well-loved charm as a result of its unique restoration process, combined with modern techniques like overdyes, experimental washes, and handmade details and embellishments. While every piece is truly unique, the collection spans a wide variety of items including women’s clothing, men’s wear, accessories, and even footwear.

Pieces such as the Aero Jacket made of Italian canvas and Cropped Biker Trench made of French Corduroy will gradually acquire unique patinas through regular wear. Meanwhile, the Reversed Borrowed Shirt showcases a patchwork of Our Legacy’s Antique Wallpaper Print, reimagined in reverse, and adorned with mother-of-pearl buttons, mitered cuffs, and a curved hem. The collection is vibrant, as shown by the Work Shop Vest, which sports a hand-knitted puzzle pattern, crafted at the workshop, and embellished with an intarsia Yin Yang logo.

The Camion Mule shoe in Brown Portuguese Leather, beautifully crafted and aged at the Stockholm workshop, makes a unique statement. In terms of accessories, Our Legacy innovatively designs raw-edge denim leg gaiters and chaps, fashioned from vintage Our Legacy trousers.

You can find the complete range right now on the Our Legacy Workshop online shop. Additionally, a few chosen designs are also accessible at Dover Street Market in London.
