As someone who has spent countless hours watching drama unfold on our beloved screens, I can confidently say that Ruthie from Outer Banks is giving us all a run for our money. With her manipulative tactics and seemingly endless supply of evil joy at other people’s expense, she’s quickly becoming the villain we love to hate.

Is anyone else finding themselves immersed in the excitement of the most radiant TV season – The Outer Banks? This show, which has been captivating audiences since its October 10 release on Netflix, is still one of the top series streaming right now. Fans are eagerly (or not so patiently) waiting for the second part, with the continuation set to premiere on November 7, picking up from where they left off in the dramatic Episode 5.

The tension is palpable and anticipation soars as people discuss theories surrounding Pope and Sarah’s struggle for survival, JJ’s startling revelations, and the ongoing turmoil involving the Outer Banks and Kook gang members. It seems that John B, JJ, Pope, Kiara, Sarah, Cleo, even Rafe, and Topper can never find tranquility. Indeed, fans adore the unpredictable group dynamic of the Outer Banks characters, but with Season 4, a new character has been introduced on Kildare Island who causes quite the upheaval. Unfortunately, this change is not for the better.

Who Is Ruthie from Outer Banks?

In Season 4 of Outer Banks, viewers met Ruthie, skillfully played by Mia Challis. Details about her background are scarce, but we know she’s a Kook who appears to live a lavish lifestyle. Being a Kook herself, she exhibits a somewhat spoiled and bratty demeanor, though everyone has good qualities, hers haven’t been shown yet.

In the group known as the Kooks, Ruthie assumes a significant role, often standing alongside Topper. There’s a possibility that Topper could develop romantic feelings for Ruthie, but the motives behind this are unclear. Given her transformation from a nuisance character to one who inspires intense dislike among fans, it seems unlikely that she is capable of tender emotions. However, it’s important to note that Topper himself has a history of being infatuated with his love interests and can be easily manipulated due to his position.

Ruthie Has Some Major Red Flags

Yes, red flags are pretty much a staple on the hit Netflix show, but come on, Ruthie is like the Mount Everest of them all. Murderer, master manipulator, sweet talker; the main characters in Outer Banks offer a long list of red flags, which are simply hard to ignore, and Ward and Rafe Cameron (shocker) are undoubtedly prime examples of who you shouldn’t trust. But then there’s Ruthie, and, oh boy, she fits right in. No, she hasn’t murdered a person, yet. However, she did turn practically the entirety of Outer Banks fans against her when she carelessly got into a truck and sped towards the Pogues on the beach, almost hitting them and, in the process, killing a baby turtle that had just hatched. Cruel. This was just cruel.

Without mincing words, throughout her screen time, Ruthie displayed bullying behavior that was chilling, and it’s downright inappropriate. Her overbearing personality is quite intimidating, bordering on uncomfortable. Confidence is one thing, but Ruthie takes it to another level by being bluntly rude and believing herself to be the top dog of the century. She doesn’t hesitate to speak ill of people, including her friends, in front of others, finding a twisted pleasure in exposing them.

At some stage, Ruthie highlighted how Topper ought to assert himself and suggested he was being used by the Pogues because he passively allowed it. This upset Topper, who had previously agreed to a truce with the Pogues, causing him to become defensive. However, Ruthie persisted, using Topper’s desire to maintain his status within the Kooks as leverage. Once convinced, Topper’s actions began to spiral, ultimately leading to an unfortunate incident where a harmless turtle became a victim of Ruthie’s reckless behavior.

What Will Happen to Outer Banks’ Ruthie?

It’s clear that Ruthie will undoubtedly keep causing trouble in the second half of Outer Banks Season 4. The real mystery lies in how far she will push things and who else may get entangled. There appears to be a connection between Ruthie and Topper, which could potentially be romantic. However, if Topper from Outer Banks finds love in Season 4, it’s likely to have negative consequences for him.

In essence, Ruthie seems to have suddenly appeared without warning, with a clear ambition: claiming the title of Kook Princess. It’s plausible that her hidden resentment towards Sarah, coupled with past feelings for Topper, could have motivated her to position herself as the new princess. This could intensify the longstanding rivalry between the Pogues and the Kooks. Ruthie appears to be vying for a dominant role among her peers, treating others unfairly in the process. Simultaneously, Topper remains oblivious, moving forward with whatever seems beneficial to him. Earlier, his affection for Sarah may have driven him, but now it’s the sting of betrayal and perhaps lingering feelings that could lead him down a path potentially destructive for Ruthie. Either way, there’s no doubt that both Ruthie and Topper will be entangled in some drama together.

Beyond the complex dynamics between Ruthie and Topper, leaving some doubt about their true intentions, there’s no denying a powder keg situation: the growing tension between Ruthie and Kiara. Following the unexpected mid-season turn of events in “Outer Banks,” Kiara is already grappling with numerous challenges that may make her patience wear thin. Whether they clash again in another heated confrontation or engage in a physical altercation between the Kooks and Pogues, these two are destined to face off once more in “Outer Banks” Season 4 Part 2 – but this time, not as friends. It’s foreseeable that Ruthie could escalate into an even more ruthless, malicious, and unstable antagonist.

As a captivated movie critic, I’ve found myself entangled in the turbulent waters of “Outer Banks” alongside its passionate viewers. With Season 4 Part 2 eagerly awaited on Netflix, the anticipation has reached a fever pitch. While we all appreciate a dash of chaos to keep things interesting, it seems that character Ruthie might be pushing the boundaries a bit too far. Here’s hoping she remains a peripheral figure with minimal screentime or that the writers manage to craft an ingenious exit strategy for this character who, unfortunately, has become the series’ most grating element. Dive back into the action-packed world of “Outer Banks” by streaming it on Netflix.
