Jaideep Ahlawat’s crime thriller series Paatal Lok Season 2 came out earlier this month and has been creating quite a stir online, garnering praise from viewers. However, some internet users were unsure if Abhishek Banerjee, known for his role as Hathoda Tyagi in the first season, was also one of the show’s co-writers. To set the record straight, Abhishek Banerjee, who also stars in Stree, has clarified the actual situation.

In the crime-thriller series “Paatal Lok Season 2,” produced by Sudip Sharma, you might have noticed Abhishek Banerjee’s name among the co-writers. This has left some viewers perplexed, as they wondered if this was the same Abhishek Banerjee who played Hathoda Tyagi in Season 1 and also appeared in “Stree 2.” To clear up any confusion, the actor himself spoke out about his new role on the show.

As reported by Hindustan Times, Abhishek Banerjee clarified a common confusion and said, “There are actually two Abhishek Banerjees in Bollywood – one is an actor, the other writes scripts. Let’s make sure we don’t mix them up. And remember to acknowledge the writing talent of Abhishek; he truly deserves it.

The actor added that while he excels as a casting director and performer, he lacks the writing talent his namesake possesses. In his words, any writing he might attempt would likely be turned down more swiftly than his initial audition. Humble as ever, he acknowledged that if something was well-written, it would undoubtedly be the other Abhishek.

In a later conversation, it was disclosed that the 39-year-old had known Abhishek, the author, during their tough times. They often shared lighthearted moments, even discussing swapping names. Reminiscing on one occasion, he humorously suggested to him, “Given how successful I’ll be someday, people might think you’ve penned all my work if we swap names.

It’s noteworthy that, as per IMDb, Banerjee, the screenwriter, has films such as Pari and Chakda X’Press on his resume. Furthermore, it is reported that he is also penning Anurag Kashyap’s upcoming directorial, featuring Bobby Deol in the lead role.
