As a seasoned gamer and fashion enthusiast with a penchant for all things skate culture, I can’t help but feel a thrill coursing through my veins at the sight of Palace Skateboards’ latest collaboration with PORTER-YOSHIDA CO. The jacquard weave, the travel-ready aesthetic, and the co-branded pieces are enough to make any fashion-forward skater like myself swoon.
We’re well into the fresh season of the Palace skate brand, based in the UK, and they’ve been consistently providing autumn-suitable clothing for their fans. After a week that showcased jackets inspired by motocross, the brand is back this week with their seventh collection drop of the season.
For this latest collection, Palace Skateboards has teamed up again with the renowned Japanese bag accessory brand PORTER-YOSHIDA CO., marking their second collaboration. The jacquard weave is the focal point of this season’s designs, running consistently across both apparel and accessories. PORTER’s classic black and olive color waves blend with its distinctive orange nylon lining within the weave pattern to add a unique touch to the bags. New styles such as the tanker field jacket, vest, matching belted rousers, all adorned with zip and side pocket details, and bearing co-branded Palace and Porter logos, have been added to expand the collection’s travel-inspired look.
In this collaboration between Palace and PORTER, wardrobe essentials such as hoodies and t-shirts receive the co-branding touch, showcasing the logos in a consistent color palette of olive green, orange, black, and white. The new bag accessories line, which includes backpacks, waist bags, mini shoulder bags, wallets, caps, and two boards, is available in the jacquard fabric styles of black and olive. These items complete the Palace x PORTER collection.
As a gaming enthusiast, I’m super excited to share that the newest Palace collection will first be unveiled in the UK and EU on September 20 at noon Central European Time (CET). For my friends across the pond in the US, you can grab it later the same day at 11am Eastern Daylight Time (EDT), with drops happening simultaneously at 11am Pacific Daylight Time (PDT) in LA and DSM LA. The lucky folks in Japan and South Korea will get their hands on it on September 21 at 11am Japan Standard Time (JST). And for those in China, the WeChat drop is set for an hour later at 11am China Standard Time (CST) on the same day. Can’t wait to see what they’ve got in store for us!
