As a die-hard fan of both Hollywood history and fashion that walks the line between gritty reality and glamorous illusion, I can’t help but feel captivated by PALY’s Halloween capsule collection. Being a native Angeleno myself, it feels like this brand has tapped into my very soul with their ode to LA’s mysterious past.
Drawing inspiration from its origins in Los Angeles, PALY introduces a special Halloween collection, seamlessly merging fashion, art, and the allure of cult cinema. This exclusive line features a hoodie, sweatpants, t-shirt, and hat that glow with references to Hollywood’s glamour and the perils hidden within its history.
Celebrating the capsule with a haunted house at the former residence of Samuel Goldwyn, a film industry pioneer, the capsule transports fans into the 1950’s lore around actress Lana Turner. The “Special Forces L/S Tee” illustrates the infamous relationship between Turner and mobster Johnny Stompanato while adding glamor through rhinestone embellishments and handwritten script.

In other parts of this assortment, the “Rangely Hat // Classic High Crown” seems to hint at the unsettling “Poltergeist Curse,” a myth associated with several actors’ untimely deaths during the production of the ’80s movie series. Names of actors from the Poltergeist movie are stitched on the hat, featuring PALY’s unique worn-out styling. Kyle Lindgren, one of the co-founders of PALY, reveals that their initial hats were individually aged “in my small apartment in Hollywood, one at a time.” The distressing on their shirts is still done manually by the PALY team today.
You can find the Halloween collection by PALY on their official website. The price points for this collection range between $185 USD and $685 USD. This collection draws inspiration from the glamorous world of Hollywood, both past and present. For a closer look at the cinematic details within this collection, check out the gallery above.
