- Parallel Experiment’s Steam launch has been pushed back
- It will release on June 5th with the Android and iOS versions
- Go on an intriguing adventure as Ally and Old Dog
Originally slated for a Steam release in March, the cooperative puzzle adventure titled “Parallel Experiment” from Eleven Puzzles encountered some unforeseen hurdles during development, causing a delay. Now, mark your calendars for June, as the game will be available not just on PC but also on mobile devices, where you’ll encounter the enigmatic Cryptic Killer.
If you had been anticipating the Parallel Experiment on both Android and iOS devices, you might have faced a more disappointing situation. Initially, developers contemplated reducing some optional puzzles, features, and even the mobile version to hit the original release date. Fortunately, all versions will now launch simultaneously, which is beneficial because crossplay functionality will be immediately accessible upon release.
In the Puzzle Collaboration, you and your companion will assume the identities of detectives Ally and Old Dog, caught in a perplexing scenario designed by the Mysterious Assailant. To progress, you must crack a sequence of connected riddles, each demanding teamwork and clear communication.
In this game, you’ll tackle more than 80 conundrums, ranging from decoding ciphers, managing water streams, hacking computer systems, and even reviving an inebriated individual. The atmosphere is reminiscent of film noir, while the comic book aesthetic style breathes life into this mystery, plunging you into a thrilling, time-sensitive adventure.
Investigating isn’t just about tackling crucial issues, there are also opportunities for leisure activities. For instance, during the investigation, you can compete with your partner in old-school mini-games such as darts, crane games, or match-three puzzles. These games come with a cooperative twist to make them more engaging.
The probe isn’t solely focused on intense problem-solving, it also provides chances for casual entertainment. For example, while investigating, you can engage your partner in retro mini-games like darts, claw machines, or match-three puzzles, all featuring a cooperative aspect to enhance the fun.
As conversations unfold, the enigma grows richer as NPCs adapt their responses based on both detectives. Should you wish to stir up some mischief, each stage offers opportunities to irk your partner – from tapping on windows, jostling their screen, to drawing suspect sketches that raise eyebrows in your detective journal.
In a significant expansion from their last venture, the upcoming Parallel Experiment promises an enhanced cooperative gaming experience, offering content five times greater than before. Mark your calendars as it is set to debut on June 5th. For additional details, check out its Steam page.
