As a lifelong Star Trek enthusiast, I must say that these interactive pop-up experiences are truly a dream come true for fans like me. Growing up, I would have given anything to sit in Captain Kirk’s chair and feel even a fraction of his leadership and courage. To now have the opportunity to do just that, not once but at multiple locations, is beyond words!
Paramount is making a grand celebration of Star Trek Day by offering free access to nearly every Trek premiere across various streaming platforms in the U.S. from September 7-13, 2024. This allows both longtime fans and newcomers to revisit cherished moments or explore the iconic sci-fi series respectively. The event promises to be an unforgettable experience for all Trekkers worldwide
As a dedicated fan, I’m thrilled to share that Paramount is going above and beyond by supporting charitable initiatives and interactive experiences. They’re teaming up with organizations such as DoSomething.org to inspire Trekkers like us to get involved in our communities. Moreover, they’re collaborating with Code.org in their mission to foster diversity within the STEM field. This is not just about creating great content; it’s about making a positive impact on society too!
Fans of Star Trek can revisit the initial episodes that initially captivated them with the series. Not only does this allow the primary characters to take center stage once more, but it also provides a platform for supporting characters to showcase their talents in ways they may not have before. For instance, Deanna Troi, portrayed by Marina Sirtis, might finally receive the recognition she’s long deserved
Astute viewers have spotted that the debut episode of Prodigy won’t be part of this event, but Netflix’s revival of the animated series offers an opportunity to revisit Season 1, Episodes 1 & 2, “Lost and Found I & II” in a fresh new way for Star Trek Day. To fully immerse themselves in the Trekker experience, fans will need to exercise their creativity to ensure they don’t miss out on any part of it
Celebrate Star Trek Day 2024
From September 7th to 13th, fans will have a chance to watch certain Star Trek premieres for free across various platforms including Amazon, Apple, Roku, Paramount+’s official YouTube channel, Pluto TV, and the Paramount+ free content hub. (Gizmodo’s report)

Enthusiasts of the beloved series “Star Trek” can immerse themselves in an engaging pop-up event at the ALEXA Mall in Berlin, Germany, Richmond Centre in Vancouver, B.C., or The Taste of Chicago. These locations will showcase a replica of the famous USS Enterprise captain’s chair. In addition, visitors to Berlin and Vancouver can engage with a contemporary design interpretation of the captain’s chair, made from eco-friendly materials
Instead of merely attracting enthusiastic “Star Trek” followers towards transport devices, these temporary events grant fans an opportunity to snap photos in the captain’s seat, receive a tailored mission, and acquire a rare enamel pin as a keepsake
As a die-hard Star Trek fan, zeroing in on my target typically requires phasers, skilled Starfleet crew members, and a resolute captain according to the traditional lore. But for this year’s Star Trek Day, all I need is easy access to one of the numerous platforms streaming those classic episodes for free!
