Shah Rukh Khan’s movie Pathaan from 2023 set numerous box office records and was an enormous commercial hit, prompting the creators to plan a follow-up to this action-thriller. As per Mid-Day’s report, the sequel, titled Pathaan 2, will be filmed in Chile next year.
Lately, the filmmaker-actor Anshuman Jha had an encounter with President Gabriel Boric Font of Chile and his delegation, which included Carolina Arredondo, Minister of Culture and Arts. While in India, President Boric arrived in Mumbai for talks regarding potential collaborations between filmmakers showcasing Chile’s stunning landscapes through their works.
Jha shared with a specific publication that he had discussions about upcoming projects like Pathaan 2 by Yash Raj Films and Lakadbaggha 3, which are planned for filming in Chile next year. He also expressed his hope that these films would assist in fulfilling the vision of Chile’s Excellency by showcasing the country’s charm through cinema.
Previously, TopMob broke the news that Shah Rukh Khan and Aditya Chopra are teaming up for the eighth film in YRF’s Spy Universe. A source from the industry revealed, “The order of events in the YRF Spy Universe timeline will be different – Pathaan 2 will occur before Tiger vs Pathaan, and it will establish the confrontation between two cinematic icons on the silver screen. Shortly following its release in January 2023, Adi and SRK made plans to expand Pathaan into a separate franchise within the Spy Universe, with Aditya Chopra already brainstorming ideas for the sequel of this classic box-office hit.
Additionally, it’s been announced that Chopra has agreed to a multi-picture deal with Anil Kapoor for YRF Spy Universe. Essentially, this means Anil Kapoor will be a recurring character in all of the spy movies. Furthermore, an insider revealed that Anil Kapoor is thrilled by Aditya Chopra’s vision for the Spy Universe, leading him to quickly agree to the terms.
A source familiar with the situation has disclosed that his acting career commences with a role in War 2, featuring Hrithik Roshan, NTR Jr., and Kiara Advani in prominent positions. Next up is Alpha, which stars Alia Bhatt and Sharvari. Lastly, he’ll be seen in Pathaan 2 alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone. It seems that Pathaan 2 will set the stage for a showdown between Tiger and Pathaan.
