For quite a while, Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa were a couple before they got married in 2021. This pair consistently demonstrates relationship aspirations and openly displays their mutual support on social media platforms. Lately, Patralekhaa confessed that she was initially ‘nervous’ of Rajkummar after seeing his debut film, Love Sex Aur Dhokha. She disclosed that she found him ‘strange.’
Reflecting on a memorable encounter, I shared in an interview with Humans of Bombay how my path crossed with the talented Rajkummar Rao and our subsequent journey into love. I vividly remember watching his debut film, LSD, which was soon followed by a call from a friend of mine studying at FTII. This friend of mine suggested a potential collaboration on a music video with none other than Rajkummar Rao himself.
Patralekhaa explained that she declined going due to finding the person involved extremely unsettling and fearful, which was why she went with her sister instead. Later, at the shoot, she recalled making her sister sit between herself and Rajkummar Rao because he was the same man from a movie who had given her an eerie feeling. She admitted that she kept nudging her sister to avoid talking to him since he made her feel uncomfortable.
During the interview, CityLights actress reminisced about a chat she had with Rajkummar. She mentioned casually mentioning an advertisement she had featured in. She went on to say, “As soon as I mentioned it, I noticed a change. It turns out, he had seen that exact ad and reacted, ‘I want to marry this woman.’
Patralekhaa shared that during their time working together on the music video, she noticed his deep love and dedication to his work. This was something she found uncommon, and as a result, she found herself drawn to him.
From my perspective as a dedicated follower, I’ve lately observed Patralekhaa gracefully portraying an air hostess in the Netflix series IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack. On the other hand, Rajkummar Rao is basking in the afterglow of Stree 2’s success. He’s now preparing for the premiere of his upcoming comedic flick, Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video. This film, with Triptii Dimri by his side, is slated to hit the screens on October 11, 2024.
