As a seasoned gamer who’s spent countless hours playing Madden NFL, I can’t help but feel a rush of adrenaline at Oakley’s latest offering – the Players Collection. Being a fan of both sports and fashion, this collaboration hits right where it counts. The designs inspired by iconic high school programs like Chaminade, DeSoto, De La Salle, and Belleville, along with the flagship Montefrio and Fatcat styles, are a testament to Oakley’s dedication to performance and style.
Oakley’s newest line draws inspiration from the NFL, encompassing not just the players who rule the turf currently, but also top-tier high school football teams that consistently produce promising NFL prospects annually.
Named “The Players Collection,” these sunglasses draw inspiration from Oakley’s premier Montefrio and Fatcat designs. The collection consists of four fresh pairs, each one titled after renowned U.S. high school programs: Chaminade, DeSoto, De La Salle, and Belleville.
Beyond the primary acts, I’m thrilled about the two distinct performance styles on offer – the sleek Sutro Lite and the striking Resistor, both sporting a gleaming black finish with elegant golden accents.
Derwin James of the Los Angeles Chargers, Justin Jefferson from the Minnesota Vikings, and Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs are seen sporting sunglasses that make use of Oakley’s Prizm Lens Technology. This technology is designed to enhance contrast, providing these athletes with a sharper view of field details for improved performance.
Oakley’s Players Collection launches in-store and online on September 5.
