As a seasoned gamer with a penchant for both virtual and real-life adventures, I must admit that the prospect of Paul Mescal teaming up with Ridley Scott once again for “The Dog Stars” has me more than just a little excited! The idea of an apocalyptic thriller set in a post-pandemic world, featuring a civilian and his canine companion living on an abandoned Colorado airbase, is nothing short of intriguing.
After the release of “Gladiator II”, director Ridley Scott and actor Paul Mescal are anticipated to collaborate once more on a new venture. This upcoming collaboration will have Scott directing “The Dog Stars”, an adaptation of Mark L Smith’s take on the apocalyptic thriller by Peter Heller.
As a fervent admirer speaking, I’m thrilled to share that, according to Variety, I’ve entered an advanced stage of discussions to star in an upcoming film. The brilliant Scott is reportedly collaborating with Steve Asbell and the 20th Century Studios team to breathe life into this project.
Previously, in an interview, Mescal commended Ridley Scott for his work on Gladiator II, stating, “There’s no more skilled director when it comes to capturing an audience’s entertainment senses than Ridley Scott.” At the moment I am writing this, a release date for the upcoming film has not been announced.
