As a seasoned movie enthusiast with a penchant for dark humor and a soft spot for unconventional narratives, I can hardly contain my excitement for A24’s upcoming film, “Death of a Unicorn.” With Paul Rudd, Jenna Ortega, Richard E. Grant, Will Poulter, Téa Leoni, and Anthony Carrigan gracing the screen, this black comedy promises to be a rollercoaster ride of unexpected twists and turns.
A24 has dropped the official trailer for Alex Scharfman’s Death of a Unicorn.
In an upcoming black comedy, Paul Rudd and Jenna Ortega play father Elliot and daughter Ridley. They accidentally strike and kill a unicorn during a drive to a weekend getaway organized by their wealthy boss, Richard E. Grant. Upon discovering that the pair have a mythical creature in their vehicle, the boss becomes interested in exploiting its supposed healing powers. However, this unicorn doesn’t appear to be as loving and gentle as humans often depict them.
Additionally, Will Poulter, Téa Leoni, and Anthony Carrigan are among those who will be joining Grant, Rudd, and Ortega in this project’s cast. Scharfman is one of the producers, along with Lucas Joaquin, Tyler Campellone, Drew Houpt, Lars Knudsen, Tim Headington, and Theresa Steele Page. John Carpenter, known for his work on the Halloween movie soundtrack, will be joined by his son Cody and longtime collaborator Daniel Davies in composing the music.
