Percy Jackson's Aryan Simhadri Was Asked About How Grover’s Wedding Dress For Season 2 Is Coming Along, And His Reaction Is Hilarious

As a dedicated fan and avid gamer of the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series, I can’t contain my excitement for the upcoming second season! Grover’s impending nuptials have been a long-awaited plot point since the announcement of the show’s renewal. And as someone who has read the books multiple times, I know all too well about Grover’s predicament in The Sea of Monsters – being held captive by the blind cyclops Polyphemus while wearing a wedding dress!

Minor SPOILERS ahead for Percy Jackson and the Olympians.

In the anticipated second season of “Percy Jackson and the Olympians,” fans couldn’t help but suspect that Grover, the satyr character, would soon be getting married. For those familiar with Rick Riordan’s novels, this may come as no surprise. After all, in the second book of the series, “The Sea of Monsters,” Grover is found in a wedding gown, unwillingly wed to a blind cyclops named Polyphemus. With the production of Percy Jackson’s second season gearing up, based on Riordan’s “Sea of Monsters,” it was only natural for a curious fan to ask about Grover’s upcoming nuptials.

At San Diego Comic-Con on Thursday, the three main stars of “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” came together for a special panel along with some other actors and the show’s producers. During this event, which included an interaction with the audience, Aryan Simhadri was asked about his possible involvement in a wedding dress decision for Season 2. This is how he answered:

I’ve really enjoyed practicing sprinting while wearing a dress. It makes me feel like Julia Roberts – it’s an amazing feeling.

At the amusing exchange during the panel (viewable on Twitter), the actors were tight-lipped about Season 2, given that they don’t begin filming until next week. However, they engaged in a lively banter regarding Grover’s wedding dress. Simhadri has already had a fitting and has been rehearsing stunts in the gown, evoking images of “Runaway Bride.” Walker Scobell added his two cents as well.

I’ve seen a couple of rough drafts of it, and he looks great.

Certainly, is it essential for you to focus on your appearance if your partner is a blind cyclops? The actors in the cast certainly exuded strength and confidence during their presentation at Comic-Con. Here’s a peek:

It’s unfortunate that we won’t get to see the entire trio together for much of Season 2 due to Grover’s significant storyline in “Sea of Monsters.” However, we can revisit their adventures from Season 1 whenever we want with a Disney+ subscription.

During the panel discussion, Rick Riordan, the writer of “Percy Jackson and the Olympians,” introduced the initial new cast member for Season 2 through a video message. Readers are familiar with Percy’s friendship with the cyclops Tyson, who plays a significant role in the remaining books. Daniel Diemer from “The Half Of It” has been chosen to portray this character and has already had a meeting with the main trio.

Get ready for the next adventure to unfold! In the final installment of “Percy Jackson,” the team parted ways at the end of summer. Grover set off towards the oceans to commence his quest for finding Pan, while Percy went back to living in New York City. The trio’s charismatic presence at SDCC 2024 has only added to the anticipation for Season 2 (provided they manage to produce it).
