People might think that Pete Davidson‘s romantic life is quite extraordinary, given his high-profile relationships with celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Ariana Grande, and Kate Beckinsale. This intrigue extends to comedian Luenell, who recently shared a stage with Davidson on the show “Everybody’s Live with John Mulaney” (a future TV program slated for 2025). During their performance, it seems that Luenell inadvertently touched Davidson’s leg, and she’s now expressing regret over this incident.
The event in discussion transpired during the March 26th episode of the talk show, which premiered on Netflix’s 2025 schedule a few weeks back. Prior to the blindfold segment, the 66-year-old comedy legend, notably quizzed 31-year-old Pete Davidson about his romantic past, mentioning Kim K and his current girlfriend, model Elsie Hewitt. The star of ‘Coming 2 America’ then proposed that Davidson take her out. Later on, it seems the mentioned leg touch incident occurred.
It was concluded that the actor from “The King of Staten Island” appeared uneasy during that part of the performance. Later on, Luenell issued an apology to her co-comedian through People, explaining that she had unintentionally touched his leg. In her statement, she also included a humorous remark.
In the episode of Everybody’s Live With John Mulaney, it’s true that I was playfully tickling Pete’s leg. But please understand, my intention wasn’t to make him feel uncomfortable. I truly apologize if I caused any discomfort. It was just a joke. I genuinely hope Pete can forgive me, and if he ever feels up for it, I would be delighted to go out on a date with him. And let me assure you, I won’t touch him again unless he explicitly wants me to!
It appears her remarks suggest that there was no ill-will between them during their time on the show, as her representative later clarified, emphasizing she had no harmful intentions.
In no way was it Luenell’s intention to make Mr. Davidson feel uneasy during their joint appearance on Everybody’s Live With John Mulaney. Instead, she was simply being teasing or jovial.
At present, Pete Davidson hasn’t publicly commented on the issue. However, according to an anonymous source who spoke to People, Davidson was comfortable discussing his personal life but felt awkward when Luenell started touching his leg during the conversation. The source also mentioned that Davidson acted as if he was okay with it in the moment because he didn’t want to disrupt the live show.
In the past, the ex-star of Saturday Night Live has been very open about his romantic endeavors, offering glimpses into his perspectives on relationships through his responses to questions. Just last month, Davidson shared his preferences in a partner, stating that he prefers a woman who exhibits a bit more assertiveness, an attribute he credits to his upbringing. It’s worth noting that he has been involved with some influential women, and maintains good relationships with several of them. For instance, it seems that he and Kim Kardashian continue their communication, and he recently praised Ariana Grande, whom he was previously engaged to.
It seems quite probable that Pete Davidson’s romantic past will continue to spark discussions among the public. As for whether or not he and Luenell have kept in touch since their talk show encounter, only time will tell. In the interim, don’t forget to catch Everybody’s Live with John Mulaney on Netflix right now with your subscription!
