Pete Davidson Wants Ex-Fiancée Ariana Grande to Win ‘Wicked’ Oscar: “It’s All Love”

Pete Davidson is cheering on ex-fiancée Ariana Grande this awards season.

During a chat with Page Six before the SNL50: The Anniversary Special, Davidson spoke about his past romance with the singer from Eternal Sunshine, whom he had been involved with – and even got engaged to – for four months back in 2018.

In our rare encounters, since we don’t often socialize in the same groups, he shared that the feelings are always affectionate.

Later on, he expressed his desire for her to win the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award, a category she’s nominated in for her role as Glinda in Jon M. Chu’s film Wicked. “I want her to win the Oscar, I want her to take home the gold,” Davidson stated, followed by, “I’ve had some serious relationships with some truly remarkable women, and when they ended, it was okay.

After their split in October 2018, Davidson moved on to date Kate Beckinsale, Kaia Gerber, Phoebe Dynevor, Margaret Qualley, Kim Kardashian, Chase Sui Wonders, and Madelyn Cline. On the other hand, Grande wed Dalton Gomez in 2021 but divorced him in 2024. Now, she’s romantically linked with her Wicked co-star Ethan Slater.

In an interview with Page Six, the star of “The King of Staten Island” admitted that it’s been embarrassing and distressing to receive such intense scrutiny over the high-profile relationships he’s had. He explained, “It seems like everyone is dating everyone in Hollywood. Just look at Paul Mescal, Timothée Chalamet, and Barry Keogh. But since I’m not conventionally attractive, they focused on me. For about five years, I was hounded, and it turned my life into a living nightmare.

During their time together, Ariana Grande penned the track “Pete Davidson” for her album titled “Sweetener”. A month following their breakup, the Grammy-winning artist referenced him, alongside her other former partners, in the popular song “thank u, next”.
