Dandyism made a bold appearance, and Pharrell lived up to expectations with his impeccable style. As the creative director of Louis Vuitton’s men’s wear line, he donned a stunningly detailed, pearl-embellished cropped, double-breasted jacket that was custom tailored for him.
As reported by GQ, the skilled craftsmen at Louis Vuitton painstakingly invested around 400 hours to create the blazer, meticulously joining together 15,000 pearls. To make the blazer the focal point of his ensemble, the versatile individual teamed it with a clean, white shirt and a black tie that complemented his black flared trousers. For added detail, he donned a pair of sunglasses reminiscent of LV Trunk designs, a set of yellow diamond earrings, and a gold collection of grills as accessories.
Pharrell Williams shared with Essence magazine on the red carpet that those were indeed his gold-plated Invisalign braces. He added, “I utilized my Invisalign aligners and had them customized in gold.” Additionally, he conversed with the publication about the theme, “It’s a piece of American heritage. It’s a chance to be imaginative. That’s what America is about. We can express ourselves, and so, when you consider the attention to detail with the pearl pinstripes, it’s like a cherry on top. It’s just a way of saying, this is America, and you can achieve and become anything that you aspire to be. It’s an inspiring tale.
