As a lifestyle expert with a keen eye for Hollywood-Bollywood dynamics, I must say that Sunny Kaushal’s aspirations resonate deeply with me. His yearning for the “Zanjeer moment” is not just an aspiration, but a testament to his resilience and unwavering pursuit of success in the competitive world of acting.
Actor Sunny Kaushal is garnering accolades for his role in the movie “Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba,” where he stars alongside Taapsee Pannu and Vikrant Massey. Previously, Sunny has been part of films such as “Gold,” “Shiddat,” “Hurdang,” “Mili,” and “Chor Nikal Ke Bhaaga.” Recently, the actor shared that he anticipates a significant career milestone, similar to his role in “Zanjeer.”
As I chat with PTI recently, I spill the beans about my dreams – to taste the sweet fruit of success that Mr. Amitabh Bachchan savored post his role in the iconic 1973 film, Zanjeer. The fire within burns strong for this ambition!
Similar to many actors striving for greatness, Sunny aspires to land a groundbreaking role that he refers to as his “Zanjeer breakthrough.”
In my pursuit of growth as an actor, I’m eagerly anticipating the role that will propel me further, offering me the chance to delve deeper into understanding myself better. (Sunny)
Sunny Kaushal made a comment in response to being queried about if he was anticipating a ‘Uri’-like breakthrough. This remark was in relation to Uri: The Surgical Strike, one of Vicky Kaushal’s biggest hits so far, who happens to be his brother.
In simpler terms, the actor from Phir Aayi Hasseen Dilrruba referred to the scene as a “Zanjeer-like moment.” For those unfamiliar, Zanjeer, released in 1973 and starring Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bhaduri (now known as Jaya Bachchan), was a turning point in Big B’s career following a string of unsuccessful films.
Sunny Kaushal believes that success allows actors to take up riskier projects in their careers.
In his discussion, the actor from Shiddat pointed out that it’s beneficial for artists to stay on the fringes when they find themselves in challenging situations. He explained that this helps keep them vital and thriving.
The 34-year-old expressed a desire to be challenged more intensely, admitting that he’s eagerly anticipating a time when he will be faced with significant opportunities, similar to being thrown into deep waters, in his personal or professional life.
During the same interview, Sunny Kaushal – who values constructive criticism – also disclosed some guidance that significantly boosted his acting skills. Sunny divulged an instance where a casting director appreciated his performance, but pointed out that his eyes could be more expressive.
Sunny added that he was 24 years old back then and later improved himself by “working on it”.
Following the events of the 2021 movie Hasseen Dillruba starring Taapsee, Vikrant, and Harshvardhan Rane, Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba is its subsequent installment that made its debut on August 9 this year.
