Taapsee Pannu, Vikrant Massey and Sunny Kaushal’s Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba traile out now

The trailer reveals Rani and Rishu’s attempts to leave behind their turbulent history, but they encounter new complications instead. As they strive for tranquility, unexpected characters like the enigmatic Abhimanyu, portrayed by Sunny Kaushal, interfere with their desires.

Officer Mritunjay, or Montu Chacha as he is affectionately called and played by Jimmy Shergill, adds to the story’s tension. A fresh, tenacious cop with a personal grudge against them, Montu is hell-bent on uncovering their deceit. With the law once more hot on their heels, the couple falls back on their old, sinister tactics to elude capture, uncertain of who to trust in a world where peril lurks at every turn.

Taapsee Pannu and Vikrant Massey on reprising their roles in Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba

After being back in her role, Pannu shared her feelings of warmth and excitement at being reunited with Rani. She looked forward to immersing herself once again in Rani’s world. The outpouring of affection for the film left her astonished. This time around, viewers would encounter a more fierce, passionate, and intricately complex version of Rani.

Vikrant Massey expressed the same thoughts, stressing the intricacy of his portrayal of Rishu. He pointed out that this character was not simple; instead, it was a multidimensional figure engulfed in intense feelings. Reenacting this role brought him great satisfaction. Viewers who believed they understood Rishu should brace themselves for new discoveries.

The long-awaited second part of the movie, helmed by Jayprad Desai, penned and co-produced by Kanika Dhillon, and brought to life by Aanand L Rai’s Colour Yellow Productions and Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series Films, will make its debut on Netflix on August 9, 2024.
