Piaget Launches First Wristwatch Under the Andy Warhol Name

As a seasoned collector with a penchant for unique timepieces that reflect both artistry and craftsmanship, I must say, the Piaget Andy Warhol Clou de Paris watch has left me utterly smitten. Having had the privilege of admiring some of Warhol’s iconic works in galleries around the world, it’s truly awe-inspiring to see his artistic vision translated onto this exquisite timepiece.

Piaget unveiled the Andy Warhol Clou de Paris watch, concluding its year-long celebrations marking 150 years in business. Notably, this is the first piece from Piaget to be officially associated with Andy Warhol’s name following a collaboration with The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, which has previously had connections with the brand.

In a 45mm round-shaped casing, the latest timepiece, reminiscent of Warhol’s famous Black Tie design from the brand, has been introduced by the Maison. This unique piece boasts a captivating blue meteorite dial, paired with a refined Clou de Paris case polish that took the Ateliers de l’Extraordinaire 10 months to master. The dial’s rare material harmonizes flawlessly with its white gold casing and serves as a tribute to Piaget’s rich history of jewelry craftsmanship.

Michael Dayton Hermann, serving as the Director of Licensing, Marketing, and Sales at The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, voiced his pleasure about this partnership with Piaget. He highlighted that it isn’t just a tribute to the connection between Warhol and Piaget, but also introduces a watch bearing an identical name, which carries an enduring, renowned, and unique spirit similar to its legendary namesake.

The Andy Warhol Clou de Paris watch comes fitted with the 501P1 Manufacture movement, accompanied by a dark blue alligator belt. At Piaget, customers have the option to customize this specific model, choosing from ten distinct ornamental stone dials, leather straps, hand styles, and case materials to create a timepiece that suits their personal taste.
