As a long-time enthusiast of streetwear and sneaker culture, I can’t help but feel a surge of excitement when I see the latest collaboration between PLEASURES and ASICS, specifically the GEL-NYC. Having been a witness to their past collaborations, I can confidently say that they never disappoint. The fusion of their creative visions always results in something unique and intriguing.

The LA brand PLEASURES is known for its thrilling partnerships and has collaborated with ASICS multiple times before, covering designs like the GEL-NANDI OG and the GEL-LYTE III. As we move forward into Fall/Winter 2024, this dynamic duo is reuniting for another footwear venture, focusing on the GEL-NYC model this time around. This design made its debut only last year.
Although the full collection of images hasn’t been disclosed yet, two short previews have revealed several significant aspects of it. The combination initiates with a lavender ripstop foundation, and orange makes an appearance in the branding overlays at the midfoot. A brown shade reminiscent of chocolate can be seen on the tongue as well as at the mudguard and the GEL-reinforced sole unit. Notably, the “PLEASURES” tag is also included alongside the usual ASICS markings at the toe.
The collaboration between PLEASURES and ASICS for their newest GEL-NYC project is set to launch on October 11, available at PLEASURES and selected retailers like HBX. This stylish design is expected to be priced around the usual $140 USD mark.
