- Black Kyurem’s Freeze Shock makes wild Pokémon easier to catch
- White Kyurem’s Ice Burn simplifies landing Excellent Throws
- Use the Tour Pass to boost your earnings
For the first time ever, the legendary Pokemon Black Kyurem and White Kyurem are joining us during the global Pokemon Go Tour: Unova event! Along with their appearance, they’ve introduced fresh Adventure Effects to aid in capturing Pokemon without engaging in battle. Don’t forget to utilize the Tour Pass to boost your rewards!
Black Kyurem’s Freeze Blast creates an electrically charged ice field for ten minutes, immobilizing nearby wild Pokémon, making them simpler to capture. Meanwhile, White Kyurem’s Ice Chill reduces the target ring’s speed during Pokémon encounters, aiding in the execution of Excellent Throws. The effects of both abilities can be extended by additional 10-minute intervals, up to a maximum of two hours at once and a total duration of 24 hours.
At the upcoming event, you’ll encounter both Black Kyurem and White Kyurem during five-star raids, enabling you to gather Fusion Energy. Once you’ve combined Zekrom or Reshiram with a Kyurem that knows Glaciate, Freeze Shock or Ice Burn will take the place of Glaciate. However, these moves will revert back to Glaciate once the Pokémon are separated. It’s important to note that currently, Kyurem cannot learn these moves through Charged TMs or Elite Charged TMs.
In your selection, you’ll pick between two special event badges – one themed around Reshiram (Black Version) and the other themed around Zekrom (White Version). If you opt for the Black Version, you’ll encounter Kyurem after defeating Black Kyurem, who will have learned Glaciate. Additionally, you’ll receive special research rewards with a Reshiram theme. Conversely, choosing the White Version means you’ll get Zekrom-themed special research rewards upon defeating White Kyurem. However, in this case, Kyurem will also know Glaciate after being defeated.
Here’s a list of redeemable
To advance more swiftly in your journey, consider utilizing the Tour Pass. This feature grants you rewards and amplifies your Adventure Effects. Earn Tour Points by capturing Pokémon, finishing raids, and hatching Eggs, or accelerate your progress with immediate Pass Tasks. With each significant achievement, your Catch XP increases and the duration of Freeze Shock or Ice Burn is extended.
Ultimately, consider upgrading to the Tour Pass Deluxe for enhanced perks. This premium version offers you an instant meeting with Victini, additional event-related encounters, a unique avatar item, and the latest Lucky Trinket. The Lucky Trinket is a special item that allows you to become Lucky Friends with someone from your friend list once, which will boost your next trade.
