- Gigantamax Gengar debuts in Max Battles
- Grab more Shiny Pokemon for a limited time
- Halloween-themed costumes abound
As a dedicated Pokémon GO enthusiast with countless hours spent catching ’em all since its inception, I can confidently say that October 2024 is shaping up to be an absolute monster of an event! The introduction of Gigantamax Gengar and its Max Battle debut on Halloween is already sending shivers down my spine (and not just because it’s spooky season).
This month at Pokemon Go, there’s plenty of excitement with the addition of Gigantamax Gengar and other fittingly themed Pokemon, available until November 3rd. The Halloween 2024 Part II event introduces Froakie and Rowlet dressed in charming Halloween costumes, along with other special, time-limited items.
In the most recent version of Pokemon Go, starting from October 31st, Gigantamax Gengar will make its first appearance in six-star Max Battles. Additionally, you’ll receive double the amount of Candy when catching Pokemon and have a heightened chance of encountering Shiny Zorua in the wild as part of these updates.
If your Pokemon trainer level is 31 or higher, you’ll not only be able to play, but also have a boosted opportunity to obtain Candy XL when you catch Pokemon with skillful throws, affectionately known as “Nice Throws.” By the way, this could be an excellent moment for you to initiate Raids! You’ll find yourself in a favorable position to encounter Gengar dressed up for a Spooky Festival, Drifblim embellished with Halloween Mischief attire, Umbreon, and many other intriguing characters.
For the limited-time Timed Research, running from October 22nd to November 3rd, you’ll have a chance to participate in activities centered around Spiritomb and its 108 spirits. By completing research tasks during this period, you’ll earn encounters with Morpeko, Spiritomb, and other special creatures as rewards.
Here’s just a taste of what awaits you, but for now, if you can’t wait to get started, you can dive right in by downloading Pokemon Go from Google Play or the App Store. It’s a game you can play without spending anything initially, though there are optional in-app purchases available.
