Pokémon Go will host the Wayfarer Challenge in Chile and India, giving you a chance to nominate landmarks as PokéStops and Gyms

  • Event runs from March 7th – 9th in Chile and March 10th – 12th in India
  • Review nominations and earn exclusive rewards for doing so
  • A PokéStop Challenge will also run concurrently

Niantic has recently initiated the Wayfarer Challenge within Pokémon Go, providing trainers in Chile and India an opportunity to influence their surroundings and receive unique incentives. By evaluating and endorsing location suggestions on the Niantic Wayfarer site, you can aid in the creation of new PokéStops and Gyms in Pokémon Go as well as progress towards distinctive achievement rewards.

During the specified dates, which are March 7th – 9th in Chile and March 10th – 12th in India, the Wayfarer Challenge for Pokémon Go is taking place. During this event, you have the opportunity to propose real-world sites, such as landmarks, statues, street art, etc., for potential inclusion as PokéStops or Gyms within the game.

Contributing to the review process helps us achieve our significant objectives. For every 5,000 resolved nominations, each participant will get 20 Ultra Balls, a Star Piece, an Incense, and a Poffin. If our community manages to approve 10,000 items, the prizes upgrade to 25 Ultra Balls, two Star Pieces, two Incense, two Poffins, and a Lucky Egg.

To join, ensure you’ve reached level 37 in Pokémon Go and possess a Niantic Wayfarer account. If you’re just starting out, don’t forget to finish the Wayfarer Orientation before you can evaluate submissions.

To become eligible for the rewards, you should have either played recently in Chile or India, or designate one of these countries as your Wayfarer Hometown or Bonus Location. Additionally, to qualify, you need to review a minimum of 50 nominations and achieve at least one milestone.
