Pokémon Go’s February 2025 Community Day event will feature Karrablast and Shelmet

In February, Pokémon Go Community Day is shining a light on Karrablast and Shelmet. On Sunday, February 9th, between 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm local time, you’ll spot these two Pokémons more often in the wild. If fortune favors you, you could even stumble upon their Shiny versions! As usual, there will be the standard bonuses and additional research tasks to keep things interesting.

During the Pokémon Go Community Day event, if you manage to find enough Karrablast and Shelmet, you can evolve them into either Escavalier or Accelgor. These evolved forms will possess unique charged attacks. Specifically, Escavalier learns Razor Shell (which has a power of 35 in Trainer Battles and 55 in gyms and raids), while Accelgor acquires Energy Ball (which is consistently potent with 90 power in all battles).

For just $2 (or the equivalent in your local currency), you can purchase a special Community Day research story that offers encounters with Pokémon like Karrablast and Shelmet. This narrative has a unique Dual Destiny theme for its background. Alongside these Pokémon meetings, you’ll receive extra experiences, a Premium Battle Pass, and some Rare Candy XL as well!

Additionally, during the event, a Timed Research quest will be available for all logged-in players, granting an opportunity to capture themed Pokémon and increasing the likelihood of encountering Shiny ones. Plus, you can claim these rewards as a treat for yourself!

During the next three-hour gaming session, I’ll be raking in some sweet rewards! Triple Experience Points (XP) and double Candy are up for grabs whenever I catch a Pokémon. Plus, Trainers at level 31 and above have an increased chance of getting Candy XL. Lure Modules and Incense will last a whopping three hours, and trading benefits are active too! This means I can make one extra Special Trade and cut down Stardust costs by half. It’s going to be an epic gaming session!

On Community Day, participating in outdoor research will yield rewards like Stardust, Great Balls, and extra Pokemon encounters. Additionally, you might stumble upon Pokestop Spectacles, offering an additional avenue for joining in the fun.
