- Pokémon TCG Pocket is set to give away 1000 Trade Tokens to all players
- It’s available via the in-game Gifts menu and comes as they attempt to rework Trading
- The hotly-requested feature has nevertheless proven to be extremely contentious
It appears that many players find the introduction of Pokémon TCG Pocket’s trading feature underwhelming, despite its high demand. This seems to be the general sentiment among players, which has led the developers of TCG Pocket to consider revamping the trading system.
In the interim, players will be rewarded with 1000 Trade Tokens through the Gifts section within the Pokémon TCG Pocket app as a temporary measure. These tokens were used for trading cards among players.
You’ll recall that they previously disclosed intentions to modify trading procedures, with an emphasis on simplifying the process of obtaining trading currency. Numerous enthusiasts highlighted limitations in trading, including the ability to trade cards of specific rarities and the requirement for a specific currency to do so, as major areas of dispute.
Trading places
In my opinion, if TCG Pocket aimed to prevent issues entirely, they essentially had two paths to take: either they could have made trading extremely accessible or they could have eliminated it altogether. Regrettably, their concern about potential bot abuse and exploitation is valid, but for those who enjoy finding ways around restrictions, I believe the limitations on currency and cards would not have posed much of a challenge.
Regardless, let’s cross our fingers that the revamp of trading will effectively tackle numerous of these issues since I strongly believe that masterfully executed trading within a digital Trading Card Game (TCG) could significantly enhance its legitimacy as a viable substitute for traditional TCGs.
