- Pokemon TCG Pocket is set to make some minor alterations to trading
- This comes after the hotly-anticipated feature was somewhat poorly received
- While not ideal it should at least make you more confident hopping into the new ex Drop Event!
For enthusiasts of the Pokémon TCG Pocket game, the long-awaited trading function has generally been well-received. However, upon its release to players, some flaws in the new system (which imposes numerous limitations on whom you can trade with and which cards can be traded) have started to become apparent.
Luckily, if you are among those players who have been expressing worries recently, you’ll be pleased to hear that the creators of TCG Pocket appear to have paid attention. They clarified in a statement the reasons behind the trading mechanics, which were designed to prevent bots and other unauthorized actions.
However, this doesn’t imply that changes will be implemented right away. At the moment, it’s merely a declaration, and the only definite adjustment we can anticipate is an expansion in methods for obtaining trading currency (a key aspect of the system). In the future, these currencies could potentially be obtained through various means such as event distributions.
Stating your case
Although it’s an improvement, I understand some of you might feel let down because a more concrete solution isn’t being implemented to address the fan’s trading concerns yet. Considering how significant trading cards are in the traditional TCG, and the challenges involved in digitalizing this process, many of us had expectations for a smoother implementation from the beginning.
Even though there were previous setbacks, it’s reassuring to know they are attentive now. With the new event “Drop Event” starting and Cresselia being showcased, even if you hesitated before, you can confidently participate in this newest event without any lingering doubts.
